DESCRIPTION:\nFrom Prompt to Proof\n \nMaking AI Work for Your Firm Without Compromising Security or Excellence\n \nAn Interactive Webinar with Tony DeSimone\n \n    \n \n  \n \n   \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n   \n \nTony DeSimone helps law firms and legal professionals understand, adopt, and use AI safely,\n effectively, and strategically. A CPA and CMA with more than 30 years of experience, Tony\n began his career at Deloitte, where he developed deep expertise in financial analysis, efficiency\n improvement, risk awareness, and strategic growth. Today, he combines that foundation with\n practical AI training to help legal professionals work smarter, improve productivity, strengthen\n client service, and use generative AI responsibly within the realities of legal practice.\n \nAs the former Executive Director of the University at Buffalo’s Center for Entrepreneurial\n Leadership, Tony has spent more than 25 years teaching professionals how to lead, adapt, and\n implement new ways of working. He was also one of the founding members involved in creating\n the AI department at Hilbert College in Buffalo, where he teaches as an adjunct professor.\n Through his company, You’re the Expert Now, LLC, he leads AI accelerator programs,\n workshops, and firmwide training designed specifically to help legal teams move from curiosity\n to confident adoption. His programs focus on practical use cases, prompt development, ethical\n considerations, confidentiality, workflow improvement, and the creation of safe internal AI\n practices.\n \nA national speaker, educator, and AI strategist, Tony works with law firms and legal\n organizations to make AI approachable, useful, and aligned with professional responsibilities.\n Through his workshops, AI Mastermind YouTube channel and podcast, and his “ChatGPhD”\n learning journey, he helps legal leaders and professionals move beyond experimentation and\n build the skills, confidence, and safeguards needed to lead in an AI-powered future.\n \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \nAI hallucinations have become an epidemic in the legal field. As more lawyers experiment with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and other generative AI platforms, the opportunities are significant, but so are the risks. These tools can draft, summarize, analyze, brainstorm, and accelerate work, but they are not end-to-end products that can be trusted without professional oversight.\n \nIn this one-hour session, Tony DeSimone will introduce his “people first, people last” approach to using generative AI responsibly. The process starts with a person using proper prompting to clearly define the goal, context, and desired outcome. It ends with a person reviewing, verifying, editing, and approving the final work, while also understanding the most significant risks, including AI hallucinations, AI bias, and the possibility that certain tools could train on confidential data.\n \nThe presentation will explain the three reasons why AI hallucinations occur and the best approaches to mitigate, and even eliminate, hallucinations from your work. Participants will learn practical ways to reduce AI-generated inaccuracies, strengthen verification, improve prompt quality, and build better workflows that keep the lawyer in control of the final output.\n \nThe session will explore how leading lawyers and forward-thinking law firms are integrating AI into their practices, including practical uses for drafting, research support, document review, client communication, internal knowledge management, and business development. It will also address key risks lawyers need to manage, including fabricated citations, confidentiality concerns, overreliance on AI-generated content, and the ethical responsibility to verify AI-assisted work.\n \nParticipants will also learn about some of the latest generative AI tools every lawyer should know about, including general-purpose tools, productivity tools, legal-specific platforms, and emerging AI solutions that can help improve efficiency and client service. Attendees will leave with a practical understanding of how to use AI as a powerful assistant while keeping lawyers in control of the process from beginning to end. \n      \n
