In light of the Washington Supreme Court’s recent decision in Quinn v. State reinstating the Washington Capital Gains Tax, we will host a town hall-style discussion on the tax.
Topics may include a brief overview of the Court’s opinions, the procedures for determining the tax liability and paying the tax, penalties and interest for failure to file returns and failure to pay the tax, several of the nuances in the statute we have encountered while reviewing client circumstances, and planning considerations.
