Tony DeSimone helps law firms and legal professionals understand, adopt, and use AI safely,
effectively, and strategically. A CPA and CMA with more than 30 years of experience, Tony
began his career at Deloitte, where he developed deep expertise in financial analysis, efficiency
improvement, risk awareness, and strategic growth. Today, he combines that foundation with
practical AI training to help legal professionals work smarter, improve productivity, strengthen
client service, and use generative AI responsibly within the realities of legal practice.
As the former Executive Director of the University at Buffalo’s Center for Entrepreneurial
Leadership, Tony has spent more than 25 years teaching professionals how to lead, adapt, and
implement new ways of working. He was also one of the founding members involved in creating
the AI department at Hilbert College in Buffalo, where he teaches as an adjunct professor.
Through his company, You’re the Expert Now, LLC, he leads AI accelerator programs,
workshops, and firmwide training designed specifically to help legal teams move from curiosity
to confident adoption. His programs focus on practical use cases, prompt development, ethical
considerations, confidentiality, workflow improvement, and the creation of safe internal AI
practices.
A national speaker, educator, and AI strategist, Tony works with law firms and legal
organizations to make AI approachable, useful, and aligned with professional responsibilities.
Through his workshops, AI Mastermind YouTube channel and podcast, and his “ChatGPhD”
learning journey, he helps legal leaders and professionals move beyond experimentation and
build the skills, confidence, and safeguards needed to lead in an AI-powered future.
